Summary

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I soon moved out of the general practice accountancy world and sought roles within industry where my financial input and decision-making ability would make an immediate and valuable impact. After working in several industry sectors I encountered the world of recruitment! I have an entrepreneurial streak and this fast paced, dynamic business sector was ideal for my ambitions.

For any recruitment business to be successful its focus must be centred around ‘extreme’ customer service. It needs consultants with passion and enthusiasm willing to put clients and candidates first supported by an efficient and stable financial platform from which to grow.

I discovered this many years ago and by keeping these traits at the forefront of working life I have helped to create, develop and grow successful recruitment companies.

In 2002 I set up Permanent Futures which has grown to be a market leader in four niche areas of recruitment. With Futures going from strength to strength I looked for other opportunities and bought R3 Resourcing, a retail and hospitality recruitment agency.

R3, after a much needed restructure, has gone from strength to strength and now has three offices across the UK and a new division specialising in the Welfare-to-Work, Training and Skills industry.
