Dr Emma Rae Rhead is a medically trained hypnotherapist and psychotherapist based in Chester, with over 25 years’ experience working one-to-one in private therapeutic practice.
Originally trained and practised as a medical doctor, her professional psychotherapeutic training is broad including hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, hypnopsychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, transactional analysis, somatic and related approaches.
Her work has focused on supporting adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overthinking, sustained internal pressure, including physical and relational manifestations of stress and stress-related illness, particularly where patterns persist despite insight, effort or understanding.
Dr Rhead’s approach is calm, direct and grounded, working with experience as it is held in the system as a whole rather than relying primarily on analysis, advice or technique-based approaches.
Sessions are held predominantly online. In person appointments may be available on request by private arrangement.
Dr Rhead works with adults across the UK aged 18 years and over.
