Line of balance

Line of balance

In linier project line of balance can be utilised to ensure efficiency between work activities.

When we say linier were not just talking horizontally but also vertically. Line of balance is best used to ensure that once a trade finishes their activities they have somewhere to go.

The attached picture demonstrates the use of line of balance on a tower block, each floor of the block is identified on the left with time going left to right. Each colour is a work activity. The efficiency is demonstrated by the lack of white space between work activities.

This can also be implemented on housing schemes as an example off horizontal linier movement.
