Local SEO 2015 - Ranking In the Pack

Here is a quick run down of things to optimise on, and for your website to rank in the Local listings on Google:

 

- Include keyword and location in URLs if possible
- Have keyword and location in meta title
- Upload videos to Youtube, geo-tag the videos and put Name, Address and Phone number (NAP) in the description with a link back to your website
- Create a page that specifically talks about your company's location(s). One page per location. Include opening hours, address, and driving instructions. Embed a Google Maps widget (classic)
- Link back to your listings on Yelp, Google Business Pages from your website
- Link to local pages, like the government websites for your local town, from your local page
- Link to nearby places where possible from your site, like hotels, train stations etc.
- Include NAP in the footer using Schema
- Add reviews with hcard markup
- Images on the location page of your site, should have meaningful file names, and contain the location and keyword in the alt text
- Add lattitude and longitude meta details to location pages
- Add photos to Flickr and Panoramio and geotag them and add lattitude and longitude.  Embed them on your site if possible.
