CASE STUDY 1 – Private Banking (Coutts)
Strengthening High-Pressure Client Conversations
A group of private bankers were responsible for managing complex, high-value client relationships. Their technical expertise was strong, but several found it challenging to articulate recommendations clearly under pressure, especially in conversations involving sensitive financial decisions.
I delivered a structured communication programme focused on clarity, message shaping and maintaining composure. Sessions included scenario-based practice replicating the pressure of real client interactions.
After the programme, bankers reported greater confidence when guiding clients through complex decisions. Managers noted improvements in the structure and clarity of meetings, as well as the team’s ability to hold strategic conversations with high-net-worth clients.
The training gave the group a reliable communication framework they now apply across their client portfolios.
CASE STUDY 2 – Wealth Management (Raymond James)
Improving Clarity and Client Engagement for Technical Advisors
Wealth managers at Raymond James needed support simplifying complex information for clients who often had varying levels of financial understanding. While highly skilled in their analysis and recommendations, some struggled to deliver concise explanations that built trust and confidence.
The coaching focused on communication under pressure, simplifying technical language, and presenting investment options in a structured, client-friendly way. We also worked on delivery, presence and handling challenging questions.
Following the sessions, advisors shared that client meetings felt smoother, and they found it easier to keep conversations focused and digestible. Leaders observed more confident communication and stronger client engagement.
The training helped the team translate technical knowledge into clear, actionable guidance for clients.
CASE STUDY 3 – Corporate Leadership Pathway (NatWest)
Developing Leadership Communication for Newly Promoted Managers
NatWest sought support for employees newly promoted into leadership roles. These individuals were stepping into positions requiring confident communication with stakeholders, internal teams and senior leaders, yet many had not had formal communication training before.
I delivered a programme designed to develop leadership presence, clarity in messaging and the ability to handle challenging conversations. Practical exercises helped participants rehearse real workplace scenarios, including stakeholder updates and team leadership discussions.
Participants reported that they felt better equipped to communicate expectations, influence decisions and navigate difficult conversations. Senior managers observed stronger delivery in meetings and clearer articulation of key messages.
The training contributed to a smoother transition into leadership roles and gave the new managers a consistent approach to high-stakes communication.
